David Elliot Talk
Join us for a special talk by celebrated Ashburton writer and illustrator David Elliot at 11am on February 8, 2019.
Although Lewis Carroll is best known as the author of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland(1865) and Through the Looking-Glass (1871), he was also an avid reader and writer of poetry. His own poems were varied – some just humorous nonsense, some filled with hidden meanings, and some serious poems about love and life. David will speak about his research trip to the UK in the lead up to his book Snark and will also delve into his experiences with books and book ideas in general.
Don’t miss this opportunity to meet David and be charmed by his tales. This event will also mark the closing of David’s exhibition Snark: A Victorian Odyssey
Free event. All welcome.
