Astronomy Talk: Understanding our Universe

Join us at the Ashburton Art Gallery and Museum for a lunchtime talk (BYO lunch) from the wonderful Alistair Perkins of the Ashburton Astronomy Group.
This talk will include a brief history of astronomy, a pictorial guided tour of the Cosmos and a look at Ashburton’s historic 140-year-old telescope located at the Ashburton College observatory.
This is also your last chance to see our Tūhura Tuarangi: Aotearoa in Space exhibition, a special interactive show touring from Otago Museum.
