To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Gallery, the Committee are hosting an art event to give your art collections a little boost! Over the past 25 years, the Gallery has hosted and curated over 300 exhibitions with local, national and international artists. It’s a history that we are incredibly proud of and eager to continue.

To mark this significant milestone, the committee have decided to commission a piece of public art to gift to our community and those that visit our town. The committee have the goal of raising $25,000 towards the commission and will launch a nationwide proposal process for the artwork once the funds are raised. The first round of fundraising will begin this year at an event called The Art Grab to be held at the Gallery on 9 April 2021.

Artists from the Gallery’s 25-year exhibition archive have been invited to create a new work on an A5-sized (148 x 210 mm) piece of acid-free card. There are no set themes and all the work will be available at a flat rate of $125 each. This will be a first in, first served event and we encourage you to visit The Art Grab exhibition prior to the sales night to pick your favourite works.

A ticket price of $10 covers the cost of food, drinks and live entertainment on the night.  Please contact the Gallery for tickets.
