Revisiting the Magic
ABOUT THIS EXHIBITION
DATES & TIMES
11 August- 25 Spetember
Open Daily: 10am - 4pm
In 2009 the Ashburton Art Gallery developed and toured the exhibition, The Making of the Word Witch by illustrator David Elliot and writer Margaret Mahy. The exhibition was a celebration of creativity and imagination. It exemplified the hard work and creative process that went into every page of this important collection of poems, and went on to form the cornerstone of the Gallery’s permanent collection This winter, after three years in storage, we will be revisiting the magic of Word Witch with a mix of seen and unseen illustrations by David. Be prepared to be spellbound and have your imagination tickled all over again.
