DATES & TIMES

3 April-14 May

Open Daily: 10am - 4pm

Tai Tapu artist Jan Chaffey will bring to light the fragility and beauty of our native flora and fauna in her upcoming exhibition in Ashburton. Taking inspiration from a life devoted to our “inherited environment” Chaffey explores the remarkable nature of New Zealand native plants. The paintings and studies in this series move organically between abstraction and more figurative representations. Chaffey speaks through her practice and ignites in the viewer her passion for the conservation of our natural environment.

Chaffey graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Canterbury in the 1950’s and has for over 30 years exhibited throughout New Zealand.
