With strong connections to Ashburton and the wider Canterbury region, contemporary artists Jacquelyn Greenbank, Iain Cheesman and Wayne Youle join forces in a collaborative multi-disciplinary installation specifically created for the Ashburton Art Gallery. Bringing together objects, painting, sculpture and the alluring touch of velvet, Drain the swamp. Cut the wood, put up the flagpole explores the ideas of place, identity and life in rural New Zealand.
