Christchurch-based artist Tony Bond has brought some playfulness to our foyer space with his wall installation Croactus comprised of 51 colourful ceramic sculptures. These unique forms are made organically and intutively by the artists and invite the viewer to think imaginatively about form, colour and the possibility of function.

Tony Bond has exhibited extensively throughout New Zealand and overseas since the early 1990’s as part of an art practice which utilises a wide variety of materials and processes. Over his career he has won numerous awards for his sculptural works and was one of three New Zealand artists selected to exhibit in the Taiwan International Ceramics Biennale in 2010.

His work is held in various public and private collections including Te Papa, The Christchurch Art Gallery, The Auckland Museum, The Wallace Collection, Canterbury University, The New Zealand Embassy in the Cook Islands, and the Christchurch and Wanganui Polytechnics.
