Now in its 56th year this popular annual awards exhibition by the Ashburton Society of Arts features over 200 artworks from local, national and guest artists in a variety of categories. Ashburton Society of Arts formed in 1964, with the philosophy to encourage the study, practice and creativity of the visual arts. This credo has been maintained till the present day and is reflected in this exhibition.

 

This year’s guest artists include:

Robert Wyber – jewellery

Tony Manuel – wood sculpture/carving

Maree Peate – paintings

Vashti Johnstone – paintings

Christine King – paintings

Debbie McCaw – paintings

 

Entries Open – 24 August
