Cinéma of the Rorschach
ABOUT THIS EXHIBITION
DATES & TIMES
April - October
Open Daily: 10am - 4pm
Working almost exclusively in a monochromatic palette, Mark Soltero will be transforming our foyer wall into a cinematic experience for the next six months. Coinciding with the opening of The Associates’ exhibition A Stone to Strike and a Rock to Stumble Over, Soltero’s Cinéma of the Rorschach will extend his investigations into image-making and projection to a new grand scale.
Originally from San Francisco USA, Soltero is currently the Head of Visual Arts and Art History at Papanui High School in Christchurch. His practice embraces drawing, paintings, prints, and photographs which reference his personal history along with the social, cultural and political landscape of the Postmodernist period.
