Stronger Together | Celebrating Diversity
ABOUT THIS EXHIBITION
DATES & TIMES
11 May 2019
Open Daily: 10am - 4pm
As our country comes to terms with the mosque shootings of 15 March, we have seen the overflowing love and fellowship shown through individual and collective actions bring our nation together.
As a cultural institution which prides itself on its inclusion and welcoming spirit, the Ashburton Art Gallery extended an invitation to every visitor and all community groups to take part in our Stronger Together project. Messages, quotes, drawings and colourful expressions of solidarity adorn the individual links and have come together to create the longest paperchain in Ashburton. The Stronger Together project is an example of the solidarity of our community and the beauty that can be generated through positive expressions of cultural diversity.
Find your own design on the display stand at the Art Gallery or contribute by creating a link to add to the paperchain.
